I agree. Jake is just fun to watch. Not as fun to watch: Kiptyn Locke. I’m disappointed by the rumor that he has already been chosen as the next “Bachelor.” I think if Jillian does indeed dump him in the end, it’ll be from her own insecurities.
His looks, his intellect, his family all intimidating. I’m not interested in Kiptyn and Kiptyn doesn’t seem that interested in much in general. He’s bland. On an excitement scale of zero to Bilbro, he’s around a two. But if Jillian chooses someone else over Kiptyn someone who’ll propose to her, which is her goal — who could it be? The odds-on favorite, now that he’s returned, is Ed Swiderski.
But, RealitySteve the Angel of Death who first warned us about the Jason/Melissa/Molly deal last season has some interesting gossip about Ed’s situation. To quote RealitySteve.com: “The rumors circulating are that he’s left a female in Chicago high and dry about his Bachelor’ experience.
A girl that he was dating who believed she was his girlfriend. And the girl is pretty upset at what has transpired. As the story goes, I received an email from a friend of one this girl explaining to me that her friend without a doubt’ was Ed’s girlfriend before he left for the show. This girl was under the assumption they were dating when he left to film the show.
He came back to Chicago (after the bogus work excuse), then left again, saying he had to go to Texas for something. This girlfriend then couldn’t get a hold of him for a while after he left for Texas’ (i.e. Spain and Hawaii).
An email was sent to him asking So I guess we’re seeing other people now’ and Ed responded with No, I just need to wait until this show is over’. This Chicago girlfriend of Ed’s is under the assumption they are still together and she just has to wait out the show.” That’s dispiriting, although the whole Ed return always did feel like a producers’ ploy.
Speaking of the producers, RealitySteve (last reference, promise), excerpted an interview someone e-mailed him that they found online last year. (I know. Take that for what it is.) It’s supposedly by an anonymous former “Bachelor” producer.
Here’s a portion of what the producer reportedly said: “Everyone always ask if what we see on TV is really what happened and for the most part it is but, going back to the film 100% and air 1%, the viewer is only getting to see the really good stuff and, even still, if the stories are many we are going to edit them down to the most compelling bits, therefore leaving out (often times) how somebody goes from seemingly normal to totally coo coo pants. We have even gone so far as to frankenbite,’ where you take somebody saying, of course I’d like to say that I love him’ and cutting the bite together to say of course I love him,’ cutting out the very important I’d like to say.’ [It's] definitely very misleading to the viewer and unfair to the cast member, but they sign up for this, fully knowing the reputation of the reality world.” So basically the recap is: Don’t believe anything you see, hear or read anywhere.
