HOUSTON — Tara Allison Hodges of Katy, Texas was arrested thursday after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student while employed as a teacher in Waco. 11 News During the investigation, Waco Police Detectives learned that 26-year-old Hodges had been involved in the teen while she was teaching for WISD. After leaving Waco and moving to Katy, Hodges signed a contract to teach at Mayde Creek Jr. High during the 2008-09 school year.
The district was unaware of Hodges’ past in Waco. They did conduct a criminal background check on her prior to hiring, and at that time, it showed she had no police record.
